Carrier Services Still Limited in FL, GA, NC & SC

Parts of Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas, are still experiencing shipment delays as the region recovers from Tropical Storm Michael.

Carriers are issuing service alerts throughout the storm-affected region that include:
  • Delays in making pickups and deliveries
  • Embargoes on expedited shipments
  • Embargoes on shipments with guaranteed delivery times
  • Embargoes or limitations on temperature-controlled freight
  • Embargoes on services to non-commercial sites such as residences and construction projects

It is likely that freight moving through the area will experience transit delays. Shipments moving in other parts of the country may also experience residual delays as the disruption to carrier operations.

The tracing tools on myUTS can keep you updated on the status of your shipments and allow you to set up automatic notification of status changes by email.

If you have any questions about how severe weather may impact a shipment, our Operations department would be happy to provide more information. The status of weather advisories can be found at the National Weather Service (www.weather.gov).
