API Integration - UTS provides endpoints for you to send XML formatted data using the HTTP POST method.



1. Rate Estimate
Description

This service provides the ability to quickly get shipment pricing by sending origin and destination zip codes as well as freight Class and weight.

2. Carrier Select

Note: Carrier Select and Shipment Entry web services use the same XML Schema to simplify access to carrier options and submitting shipments to UTS.

Description

This service gives you visibility of all carrier options. Our response will include a list of available carriers and their transit time, estimated price and liability coverage amounts. You can then send the carrier you prefer from this list to the Shipment Entry web service.

3. Shipment Entry

Description

This service provides the ability to submit pickup requests to Universal Traffic Service. If you do not include a carrier with the request, UTS will assign one for you based on your cost/service ranking profile.

4. Tracking

Description

This service provides real-time status information for all of your shipments. This information includes the pickup/delivery dates, activity notes and other shipment identification information.

5. Invoicing

Description

This service allows you to retrieve detailed shipment information and cost from the most recent weekly invoice.

CSV Files - UTS sends and receives files using FTP. We provide a secure URL to keep your data safe.



1. Shipment Entry

Description

CSV files are sent to UTS to assist with the shipment entry process by limiting the amount of data entry required on myUTS.

Input

1 CSV file containing orders from your system. This can be sent on a schedule defined by you.

Process

Login to your account on myUTS.net to enter your unique PO number to prefill the Shipment Entry form. Complete the shipping details and submit to UTS for pickup.

Output

UTS will send 1 CSV file for each shipment submitted on myUTS. These files contain carrier information, freight charges, reference numbers, and a tracking URLs.
