The National Motor Freight Traffic Association has made an important change to its National Motor Freight Classification (NMFC) that affects a broad segment of shippers.
The NMFC grouping for machinery and machine parts formerly was classified across six NMFC numbers.
Effective May 1, this grouping has been consolidated under a single NMFC number.
The following NMFC numbers for machinery or machine parts are cancelled:
